The prepress department consists of a design section, an art department and a plateroom. With the latest technology and expertise our design area is able to fulfill all your creative requirements. If you need help with your artwork we can produce it for you - or show you, what to consider when preparing it yourself. All incoming jobs are checked for errors (preflight) and prepared for the appropriate machine. For regular customers we have held trainig seminars on file preparation and colour management. SOS can handle all popular prepress and office file formats and is an Adobe Accredited Service Provider.

The SOS platesetting system was completely upgraded in February 2009 to the latest version of Fuji XMF workflow and Luxcel platesetter. This system is capable of producing 50 plates per hour. The prepress department and plate room are staffed from 6 AM to 1 AM, six days a week with additional resources available, should you require help on the weekend.

SOS is also able to provide training in file preparation and common prepress issues. SOS regularly invites students from Universities, TAFE colleges and design schools to its premises to show them processes and workflows during print production and discuss issues that can arise when working with print
